Nana Comes to Visit

In late July, Nana came to visit all the way from New Jersey. It was very special to have her here in Denver. She spoiled me rotten and I loved just hanging out with her. Whenever my parents said "Nana," I just responded "airplane" because that is what I was told - Nana coming on the airplane from New Jersey :) I got to show her all my tricks my parents had been telling her about. Thanks so much for coming to spend time with us; it was fun! Come back soon. oxox

We visited Belleview Park. They have a choo choo that you can ride which I LOVED. I can't seem to get enough of choo, choos these days. They also have a small petting zoo. And, they have this really long creek to play in and picnic by. We tried it all.

Gearing up for the choo choo

oops, out of order, just hanging out before our big park trip

Checking out the choo choo before it's our turn. Here it comes...

All aboard!

Post ride

This "piggy, piggy" was a character...

It was a hot day so splashing around was much needed...

Nana loves to shop so we made a quick visit to Nordstrom for some new Tommy shoes. Quite a treat. On the catwalk...

Check out my new Yankee bear!

All sorts of fun things - a choo choo and truck bowl and cup - could it get any better? Still saying "choo, choo"

Someone I know taught me this "funny little hand up when being photographed" trick... Papi's signature. Cheese!

Cruising in my car - I don't forget the hand (yikes)

Happy 4th of July!

Our two-week trip finished off with fireworks! 4th of July weekend at the Lake is always fun - lots of action to watch on the lake which made for bumpy bump rides but I of course still wanted to go "fasht." Thanks for a great 4th everyone! oxox

Nothing but smiles on the boat!

Sporting my new clubs from the Smith/Bennish clan! Thanks guys.

Wysong/Burns Family Lake Party

Over 4th of July weekend, the Burns/Wysong families got together for some play time at the lake. Grams turned the young age of 87 and Aydon turned the big 3 - both on July 1st. Boating, fishing, swimming, eating and drinking is pretty much what occurred. Fun to see everyone and I loved chasing Jackson and Aydon around yet again!

Grams just loves birthdays - not really - but she was a sport when we sang. Donna's yummy chocolate cake - always a treat!

Smith/Bennish Family Lake Visit

The Smith/Bennish Family joined us for some play at the lake. Paige (Smith) Bennish, her two boys, Hudson (approaching 2.5) and Walker (almost 3-months) were also visiting KC from Houston where they now live. The Bennish family lived in Denver for many years before relocating to Houston. Paige and my Mom grew up together. Paige's parents, Les and Cacki Smith, also joined us at the lake. Only people missing were the Dads. The Smiths are life-long friends of my Ghi Ghi and Baba. We had so much fun and it was quite a treat to spend some time together. Can't wait to get together again.

Deanna Rose Farmstead

As a break from our lake adventures, we visited the Deanna Rose Farmstead in Overland Park, KS. I loved seeing all the animals, watching the horse drawn wagon and checking out the old fashioned "tractor." Afterwards, I was treated to a delicious lunch at a KC tradition - Winsteads!

Perhaps one day I'll be a dairy farmer.

"Cow, cow, cow" over and over. Aunt Beth and Mom should have counted how many times I said this on our way home.

Petting the baby goats - just like "Mad may" (aka Maddie).

Now wanting to ride the goats like Mad Mae.
