6 months

I apologize for such a long delay in posting. Not quite sure where the time went but we have entered spring, yay! Danny is now 6.5 months and turning into quite the character, always smiling. He likes to play with the infamous "Sophie" the giraffee and chew on those legs. His older brother is by far his favorite person to admire, not sure how we feel about that :) What antics are they gearing up for? At Danny's six month appointment he weighed in at 18.12 pounds and measured 29 inches - a big boy. We are now eating food - oatmeal, apples, pears, squash, sweet potatoes and an occational pea. Tommy still talks all day long and keeps us entertained. Growing and changing everyday. Chilin' with Dad First try at oatmeal - not quite sure

Ok, think I can do this

Served only with a silver spoon, please

Gentle hugs, yeah right.

Sitting up in the Bumbo with my cozy airplane sweater from Nana :)

Erin Go Braugh. Or as Liam Madden says, "top of the morning to ya." Mom's cute little leprechans.

Midnight Waffle trumpet rehearsal

Really getting into it - swing those hips

Go Irish! Good thing I'll outgrown this shirt soon because it wasn't much luck.

All smiles

Papi came to visit while Gigi ventured on a girls trip. He took the train from KC, stopped in Denver and moved on to the mountains. We got to sing Happy Birthday to him, play at the park and have some fun hang out time. Tommy was the lucky little guy that got to see him off on the Choo Choo and tell him "all aboard." I think the highlight since Choo Choos are the coolest thing these days. Thanks for the visit!

They boys Skyping with Gigi before her trip.

As my Mom's good friend Gaffney says, "my gym." Yes, I'm now strong enough to play in "my gym." My parents have found my big brother trying it out too - um, pretty sure he's too big.

Danny Visits KC

Danny took his first plane ride to KC. He was a super star both ways on the plane. And prepping for a 4 month old is quite different than for a 2 year old! Danny and Mom thought it would be fun to pop-in for a quick visit while Dad and Tommy had a boys weekend in Denver. Tommy and his Dad had a great time - well everything but Tommy's 3rd hair cut (not his favorite activity), but he survived and they had fun.

Danny and Mom just hung out with Gigi and Papi most of the time. However, we got to visit a VERY special person - Great Grandma Grams - who we adore!! Aunt Donna, Doug and Cousin Angie also popped in over the weekend to meet little Danny.

Despite a quick trip, it was a nice treat for all! Thanks for playing Gigi and Papi. The Z Man from OK Joe's is the BEST and can't wait to have some fab BBQ again soon. oxox

Sacked out on Anut Beth's Bed (don't worry, I did have my pack 'n play) - but just taking a little cat nap before the plane ride

Cozied up with Gigi

Arrival home - Daddy and his boys

Naked baby and his Papi - watching the Jayhawks beat up on KState - Rock Chalk!

It was wonderful to see you Grams and can't wait for our next visit!! You are one funny lady. Love you. Cuddled up with the big guy.

Grams is concerned the socks don't fit right - note to Mom to get bigger socks :)

Looking good!

I'm loving this pretty pink sweater. No spit ups, please! Well done Danny.

Happy guys

All smiles with Aunt Donna!

Playing with some of my favorite things

On New Years Day, the gang played at Liam's house. 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed (Liam's new choo, choo bed)!!
Bundled up to romp around in the snow

Just a few shots taken from my phone. We had the most beautiful sunset from our "mountain view" home! Not captured quite the same as in person but who doesn't love a winter sunset.

Danny is so smiley. Starting to make all sorts of happy noises and likes to hear himself "talk." Just like someone else I know - monkey see, monkey do!
Brothers bonding in the bath!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2011!!

To ring in the New Year, we had a very pretty snowfall. Tommy had no interest in sledding but swinging! It was a whopping 10 degrees and sure enough the wind blowing in his face was no big thing. He really wanted to build a "BIG" snowman but it wasn't the best packing snow unfortunately. "Someday."

Trying to make a snow angel but not so sure about it...

Snowmass Visit

So we decided to venture to the mountains with both kiddos for some mountain air! We hadn't traveled in quite some time which we are used to so it was a nice escape. Despite it being a quick trip (due to a storm that was supposed to come and never did), we had a nice visit. We just went for 2 nights right after Christmas before New Years. The highlight by far for Tommy was the bus ride to base village "again, again." We told him "someday" and he continues to remind of this often saying "someday" for all sorts of things.

Perhaps next year we'll get Tommy on skis. We saw little ones on the hill who were super cute. A sign said "Parent Free Zone" which I can totally appreciate so the teachers can actually teach. In the meantime, maybe we'll get him some ski gear to play with.

Strolling with Papi in base village.

Gondola ride. "Again." This we did do again and he loved it! Poor Danny wasn't too fond on the way up although I think his Mom over dressed the poor kid. That Colorado sun is tricky.

Danny is 4-months!

Danny turned 4-months this week. Hard to believe! He's growing like crazy. 27 inches (91%) and 16.5 lbs (79%) - solid little man. Watching his big brother and smiling at his antics - hopefully not embracing all of them :) Close to rolling over but hasn't quite mastered that yet. He's a happy little fellow and we're having a blast with our boys!!

A couple shots of the Irish lad!

Another family shot from Zoooo Lights!

Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas and hard to believe it was almost a month ago already. Hope you did too! Tommy seemed to understand a little bit about Santa. Reindeer land on the roof and Santa comes down the chimney and brings presents - including a blue bike from Nana/Santa. We asked him what he wanted from Santa and he said a blue bike - not sure where that came from. So sure enough Nana became a part of Santa. Thank you Nana! It was a huge hit - "what's that" when he saw it by the tree.

Gigi, Papi and Aunt Beth joined us for the festivities. Danny certainly received lots of goodies and fun toys for future play as well. A perfect 1st Christmas for the little man!

Daddy and Tommy playing with "Dada's choo choo" on Christmas Eve - not so sure at first but grew to like it.
Testing out the new blue bike - Molly better watch out. A new fancy art easel from Grandma and Grandpa in the background. Our 2 budding Picasso's are ready to go.

Another Santa present that has become a favorite. The kitchen where Tommy has been cooking up all sorts of goodies for us! Thanks to cousin Charlie for supplying the yummy food - he must have talked to Santa that a kitchen was coming :)

Danny's 1st Christmas pjs!
Aren't we cute! Who doesn't love red plaid Christmas pjs :)

Check out my new fireman towel from cousin Grace and Matty - thanks guys.

Another choo choo shot - Maddie joins the fun! Circa 1950, or we like to call this shot "Normal Rockwell (ish)"
It was a plaid kind of Christmas for the boys. Happy Christmas Eve!

"Mad May" in her fancy attire as well...
Not sure if this should be allowed to be seen as it's SCARY but also kind of funny! Thanks to Finley, Lucy and Claire's Grandpa "Pops" for supplying the headbands - YIKES - we are looking good! I personally like that Gigi and Papi went in to Starbucks in their matching attire (hidden by coats but still....)

Tuga and Maddie looking dapper
Chef Martin (just like his Uncle Brian who makes the best squishy squash and sweet potatoes)

Still sporting pjs at 4pm and playing with the rocket

Lovin' my bike!
Mom and Danny watching the action

As Tommy would say, what have "these guys" done to me? So many noise makers on me at once.
Maddie hoping for some Christmas tenderloin fallout.
