Birthday Round 2

To continue the celebration, we had some good friends over to help welcome the little man to age 1. Thanks for joining us everyone.

Here is the chocolate cake that never seemed to end.

Tommy's smash cake version.

Stuffing my mouth with pizza first - nothing like pizza and cake :)

Not sure what to think. Everyone is singing to me.

Gearing up...

A finger full of icing to test out the waters...

A few more fingers...
Oh yes, this is good stuff...

Might as well dig in

Pretty sure I've got it down now

Cake coma

Why are you taking it away

Still a bit sad but manage to share some fingers to my best friend

Pushing Finley in my new wagon

My turn for a ride...this is too fun and funny.

Birthday Round 1

Tommy turned 1 on December 17th. Hard to believe a year has gone by already and how much he has changed. It's been quite the journey and we've loved every second of it. We celebrated with his Gigi & Papi on his actual birthday. He enjoyed opening some fun new toys from various family members - all so generous. Thanks everyone for the great gifts!

Here I am riding my new fire truck my parents got for me.

First round with a cupcake.

With a little help from Mom.

Maddie is always so loyal.

We all made it one whole year - all body parts still in tact :)

I love my new mailbox from Grandma & Grandpa.

During Gigi & Papi's pre-Christmas weekend visit, we all toured the Botanic Garden Lights! I actually did this last year on the other side of Mom's belly.

This is such a fun ride :) I can push it too.

Finley Turns 1 & Meeting Old St. Nick

Happy Birthday Finley! Finley turned 1 on November 30th and we all celebrated her big day. Hard to believe she's already 13 months and becoming quite the little girl. So fun!

Here we are meeting Santa for the 2nd time. The first time was in NJ with cousin Charlie, and sure enough I wasn't the biggest fan the second time around either. Maybe when I'm 2 I'll warm up to the big fella.

My friends Finley & Claire doing just fine with Old Santa Claus.

I know he is there. Quit tormenting me.

Gobble, Gobble

My first Thanksgiving and boy did I enjoy :) We went to New Jersey to visit my Nana. My 3 cousins joined us from DC and FL. Thanks so much Nana for a fun time. We loved seeing you and the rest of the gang.

My first taste of pizza - Jersey style.

Playing with cousin Grace.

Uncle Scott & Cousin Matthew

Trying for a group photo - not too successful.
Charlie shows me all about cars.

Dad and cousin Charlie hamming it up.

Aunt Lexi and Charlie finishing up a delicious feast made by Chef Uncle Brian.

Aunt Chris and Cousin Grace who loved the chocolate dessert - yum.

Cuddling with Aunt Lexi.

Hanging with Nana and Dad.

The take-out version on night one was just a trial run. The real deal.

Even better.

The Rockefeller tree (not yet lit) but still pretty. My first NYC trip.

Story time with Nana.

Thanks again. oxox

Final Days at South Madison

It's been a while since our last post. A lot has happened for the Martin family in the past month or so. We officially said goodbye to South Madison Street. We moved which was bittersweet. We loved out cozy cottage that we lived in for 8-years, but it was time to move on. We created a lot of memories in that house but are excited to start new ones in our home now on South Saint Paul Street. We officially moved on Nov. 21st and a few days later flew to NJ for turkey day. Needless to say, it was a very busy week. Bob & Linda came to Denver to help hang with Tommy and get us "settled" in the new home. It was so nice to have them here to help move boxes, play with Tommy and Bob even helped Mike hang a fan in Tommy's room. Such worker bees. Thanks again for your help! Now we have some projects to take care of in the new house but it will be fun to make it our own. Come visit - we have lots more space - yeah!!

A chapter closed :)

New view on moving day! We can see the mountains off in the distance - quite exciting!

Trying some Cherry Creek Grill salmon - I think I like this :) Thanks for sharing, Grandpa.
Being silly with Grandpa.

I am really admiring my Grandpa.

Showing Grandpa all my favorite sights and what I'm going to miss most.

One of our favorite activities. We have found a new spot though in our new home!

The 2nd big snowstorm and it's only November.
