Time is flying

We've seen month 6 come and go quickly and have entered Danny's 7-month. Not sure where the time goes really.

Once again hangin' in my Bumbo with Sophie while my friend Lucy gears up for some food. Even though we are only 10-weeks apart, she seems to be quite an old lady.
Hey there, watch out little lady.

Congratulations to Colleen, John and Liam! Declan Kraft Madden arrived on March 22nd. Boys, boys, boys! So much fun to have another playmate to our growing clan. Colleen and sweet Declan.

The big brothers paling around in Mom's trunk.

Let's wrestle....

Some new entertainment for Danny. Seems he is in the Bumbo quite often so now time to mix things up with the Johnny Jumper.

I'm lovin' it

Tommy got a bike from Santa Nana for Christmas. It's taking a while to warm up to it even though he was VERY excited to get one. We got the helmet and sure enough he wanted nothing to do with that either after getting it home. One warm day Mike decided to play around the yard and house in his own helmet. Soon enough Tommy wanted to play in his too so now not as afraid. Nice going, Dad!!

A recent highlight has been watching Cousin Charlie on his bike. He has the same bike as Tommy and is crusin' around now. The "movie" of Charlie on his bike is to the Rocky theme song - it's pretty funny and I think should be submitted to the Film Festival. I can assure you we have seen this "movie" at least 100 times but it's paying off. Danny even finds it entertaining and is learning the ropes.

One afternoon Tommy was spotted gearing up to ride his bike. Had to capture this one fast.

Chilin' in the bumbo - yet again

Tommy's friend Morgan came over early one morning before school. Her parents were leaving town and needed someone to drop her off. Tommy was PUMPED! He loves his little friend Morgan.

3 deep on the way to school. What life would be like with twins - all of 45 minutes - and that was enough!

As Colleen says "my future's so bright, I got to wear shades."

Happy guy with is bear

It was Bring Your Kid to Work Day and Mom and Tommy ventured out to Merrick for some engineering entertainment. It was pretty cool! They landed their helicopter in one of their parking lots for kids to tour. Tommy did not want to leave - thanks for the treat Merrick!

I'm growing up - and tired of that Bumbo! At roughly 7.5 months I can sit up all by myself. Yeah for Danny! Watch out Tommy, I'm catching up to you.

Spring Break

We are very lucky to have family that live in a beautiful part of the country so we can escape the cold Colorado weather and play in the warm Florida sunshine. Tommy LOVED, LOVED, LOVED playing with his cousin Charlie. They are too cute together. We enjoyed the beach, the pool, a St. Paddy's Day parade and just hanging out with the gang. Thanks so much for a great time everyone. We loved seeing you and the boys had so much fun! It was our first trip with both boys. I think we packed our entire house to get there. The boys did really well but man, it's so much stuff! On our return trip, we had a lay-over in Atlanta which was fine but just added a little more time. Tommy didn't stop talking (literally) for 12-hours and Danny was "finding his voice" on the flight. Danny poop was everywhere (on Mom) shortly after take off from Atlanta to Denver - yummy. But again, they did great and can't complain. When we got in the car to drive home, all Mike could say was "WOW." A different adventure than our travels when we just had to worry about ourselves. About two minutes into the drive home, both boys were sound asleep...of course. Danny's first trip to the beach - a windy day

Sunshine smiles.

Tommy LOVES the piano. He talks about it all the time. In fact, at music class he often chooses to play the piano when one of the few rules is to not touch the piano :) He enjoyed "reading" music and playing Grandma and Grandpa's piano - quite nicely.

An attempt at the Beatles
Scrub a dub, dub, two cute boys in the tub. Charlie helps scrub Tommy's back.

and wash his hair
The infamous St. Paddy's Day parade. We enjoyed seeing downtown Naples transform to green. All Charlie and Tommy hoped for was a little lollipop and looks like here they got one. Charlie fits right in in his cute, little chair.

The parade lasted for a LONG time but we made our way to lunch after a while. 5th Avenue was quite the scene - everyone's got a little Irish in them to celebrate.

Tommy has recently started some swimming lessons to get a little more comfortable with the water. Good timing because he had fun swimming with his Dad.
Uncle Brian and "fish" Charlie. Charlie is quite the swimmer - show us your stuff.

After all that hard work in the pool, a yummy lunch.

A big treat for the CO Martins, is the beach at sunset! It was a gorgeous night and the boys had so much fun playing on the beach.

First day at the beach, Tommy wasn't so sure. It was a little windy and a new sensation on the feet but he warmed right up to it.

6 months

I apologize for such a long delay in posting. Not quite sure where the time went but we have entered spring, yay! Danny is now 6.5 months and turning into quite the character, always smiling. He likes to play with the infamous "Sophie" the giraffee and chew on those legs. His older brother is by far his favorite person to admire, not sure how we feel about that :) What antics are they gearing up for? At Danny's six month appointment he weighed in at 18.12 pounds and measured 29 inches - a big boy. We are now eating food - oatmeal, apples, pears, squash, sweet potatoes and an occational pea. Tommy still talks all day long and keeps us entertained. Growing and changing everyday. Chilin' with Dad First try at oatmeal - not quite sure

Ok, think I can do this

Served only with a silver spoon, please

Gentle hugs, yeah right.

Sitting up in the Bumbo with my cozy airplane sweater from Nana :)

Erin Go Braugh. Or as Liam Madden says, "top of the morning to ya." Mom's cute little leprechans.

Midnight Waffle trumpet rehearsal

Really getting into it - swing those hips

Go Irish! Good thing I'll outgrown this shirt soon because it wasn't much luck.

All smiles

Papi came to visit while Gigi ventured on a girls trip. He took the train from KC, stopped in Denver and moved on to the mountains. We got to sing Happy Birthday to him, play at the park and have some fun hang out time. Tommy was the lucky little guy that got to see him off on the Choo Choo and tell him "all aboard." I think the highlight since Choo Choos are the coolest thing these days. Thanks for the visit!

They boys Skyping with Gigi before her trip.

As my Mom's good friend Gaffney says, "my gym." Yes, I'm now strong enough to play in "my gym." My parents have found my big brother trying it out too - um, pretty sure he's too big.
